Small Blessings
You may notice that this isn't the usual writer of the blogs. My name is Brianna Treharne and when my good friend Sydney asked me to write this blog for her, I of course couldn't say no. Before I get into the actual topic of the blog, I just want to say that I'm so proud of Sydney for this whole journey she's on. This new collection that she just released is so good. “Appreciate the little things”. She is so pure and her mind is incredible. I don't know how she does it all herself, but she does it so well. If you haven't, check out Sydney's new collection for Twisted Compass, it's incredible.
Do you ever think about how blessed we are as humans to get to wake up on this Earth every day? Earth is beautiful, a whole world created by our heavenly Father. No matter the season, there's beauty in it all. Whether there's snow on the ground, leaves falling, or flowers blooming, it's all so astonishing. These are just a few little things that I appreciate.
But why is it important to appreciate these “little things”? When I wake up in the morning and step outside to feel the sun shining on me, it rejuvenates me in a way I didn't even know was possible. This seems like a little thing that brings a small but important amount of joy to my day, but realistically, it's not so little. If there was no sun in the sky, nothing would exist, and this isn't something we think about or even appreciate on a day-to-day basis.
This world and this life that we're all living is a gift from God. No matter what's happening in your life it's important to remember that He always has a plan for you. This is something that motivates me to push through hard times in life. When life is hard, I appreciate the little things even more. I could be having the most awful day, but my spirit gets a little brighter when the sun shines on me or I see a pretty flower. The beauty of this world is so bright that it can light up your day. If you haven't recently, take a moment to appreciate it. When you're done reading this, get off your phone and go outside and admire His creation. If you don't look, you'll miss all the incredible little things in life, so take a minute to appreciate them.
