Thank You, Little Things Collection
After over a year, the Little Things Collection had its final sale and most of the items left the shop. Although it was a fairly small collection, with only 5 items and 4 different designs, it impacted so many people in so many ways.
The Little Things Collection wasn’t the first Christian collection that Twisted Compass released, but it was the first one with an overarching message: “appreciate the little things.” God taught me this lesson personally, and then I was encouraged to share it through new designs. It was the first collection that I really felt God working through, and He showed me that if this message affected my life so much, it could truly change others’ lives, as well.
It was a collection of many firsts. Not only was it the first collection with deeper meaning, but, prior to its release, it was the first collection with a full photoshoot, with some friends acting as models. This first photoshoot was definitely not perfect, but we got some cool photos. I had been the sole model in nearly all Twisted Compass photos up to that point, so this photoshoot was incredibly beneficial to have other faces on the website and social medias. Thank you to Sophia, Bri, and Makennah for modeling!
One very important thing that I cannot forget about, is the donation from the Little Things Collection. Previously, 5% of profits from each collection were donated to a local nonprofit organization. But, for the Little Things, I decided to try something new. Someone gave me a bunch of shirts, drawstring bags, and hats for free, and I thought that gave me the perfect opportunity to donate those items to a local homeless shelter, after decorating them with some Twisted Compass designs. Although I have not made the donation yet, 23 goodie bags filled with Twisted Compass will be donated to Community Cares!
So, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who supported the Little Things Collection. Everyone who ordered, everyone who liked our posts, and everyone who was inspired to “appreciate the little things.”
